Life Groups

Life Groups in Muckamore provide a wonderful opportunity for connection, growth and support with others in our walk with Jesus. Whether you’re exploring what it means to follow Jesus, or you’ve been a committed Christian for years, being part of this ministry will be a place for encouragement and fellowship.

The purpose of Life Groups is to develop our commitment to Gospel Culture within our church family.  If we want to see disciples contribute to honesty, honour, rejoicing and hospitality, there must be a deepening in our relationship with:

God

Our time will be spent opening up God's Word and talk about what it means, how it shapes us and brings us closer to Him

Each Other

Being part of a smaller group allows us to trust, depend and support each other, through the highs and lows of life

Our Community

It gives us opportunities to consider areas of service that can be shared together as we live for Jesus

Life Groups 2023 - 2024

This year we are using 'Spiritual Healthcheck.' With the direction of 16 short devotions, we are going to help each other to see where and how they can grow in our faith and joy.

Our groups will help you to diagnose how you are (honestly) doing in your faith; give you the “vitamins” you need - God’s ways of helping you to thrive; and point you to the one who enables you to really grow - the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to join a Life Group or want to ask any questions, please drop an email to lifegroups@muckamore.com and we will be happy to help.

Expectations

We meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month in the church building, only pausing during the Christmas and summer period.

We aim to create groups that will have between 6 - 12 people and include individuals from all ages and stages.

We begin by joining together for approximately 20 minutes to set the scene, and then move into groups for 50 minutes for Bible reading, discussion and catching up with each other.

Each group has an individual or couple who are appointed and supported by the church to provide guidance and encouragement. They are not there to teach or preach, but facilitate the natural flow of the group.

We encourage people to come along each month, not only to receive, but also to give of yourself to care and disciple one another. Groups can also organise to socialise outside of Life Group evenings.
