Advent Sundays
Join us for our worship gatherings during December, considering some of Isaiah’s prophecies so we can marvel at Jesus. And to receive Him. To us a Son is given.

And so we pray along with the carol,
‘O holy child of Bethlehem, descend to us we pray.
Cast out our sin and enter in; be born in us today.’

These messages will take place on 8th, 15th & 22nd at our 11am services.
Why Isaiah?
Every year a debate erupts among friends and family – when is it appropriate to start listening to Christmas music? December 1st? November? Some are happy to crank it up from October, while others (how best to put this?) are more Scrooge-like in their attitude to festive songs.
When we should start preparing for Christmas is an unresolved discussion.
But God started preparing for Christmas long before we might ever imagine. The prophet Isaiah, around 700 years before Christ was born, spoke of the coming of the Son of God. God peels back the clouds of heaven and gives Isaiah a vision and a promise. He was called to tell people that they needed to have a right understanding as they looked forward to that first Christmas … so too we need that same understanding as we look back on it. Especially if we are weary.
This is what Christmas is about … a weary world can rejoice!
