Rev Peter Dickinson, Minister

Peter was ordained in Muckamore in 1997 and continues to enjoy ministry here today.  He had originally trained as a motor mechanic before moving into the world of hire purchase and finance, where he worked until 1989, when he began his studies for the ministry.  He and his wife, Sandra, have been married for 30 years.  Their son, Aaron, lives at home, while their daughter, Sarah, was married in 2009 and lives in Antrim.

Peter became a Christian as a young boy, greatly influenced not only by his father and mother, but also the leader of the Junior CE in Ebrington at that time, Don Rowan.  He believes strongly, that every area of life is important to God – home, school, work, leisure and church.  So, his focus is on helping Christians to live distinctively as Christ’s wherever they are, whatever they’re doing.  He is actively involved in the field of learning disability and is an avid motorsport fan.
