Donald and Helen Starritt

Helen grew up on a local farm and has been a member of Muckamore since childhood. I, Donald, come from Lisburn and have attended Muckamore since we were married some 15 years ago. We live near Crumlin and have 2 children, Rebecca, aged 13 and Amy, aged 12.

I work as a civil servant in Belfast and Helen is a classroom assistant. We have a fairly active role in Muckamore church.  Helen is a Sunday School teacher and helps with other activities, such as Creche, Badminton Club and Church announcements. I am a member of Committee, currently serving as Congregational Secretary. The girls love attending GB and Pulse.

Why do we come to church and why Muckamore? Well, it’s certainly not because we think we have everything ‘sorted’. Church is for ordinary people who need answers to questions in life.  When we have doubts or worries we believe God will not give up on us. Muckamore is a very friendly, supportive and welcoming church and a good place to grow in your faith. So don’t put it off. Take the first step and come and join us!
