The Badminton Club meets on Monday evenings from 8.00pm until 11.00pm and from the middle of September until the end of April each year.
Anyone who is really keen to learn can join from the age of 15, and there is no age limit apart from that! On a club night we play mens’ doubles, ladies doubles and mixed doubles and if you are really fit and enthusiastic you can play singles too.
We usually enter the Ballymena and District Presbyterian Badminton League to play mixed doubles and if we have enough people, members would enter the mens’ doubles too. To play in any League you have to be a member of the Badminton Union of Ireland and there is a fee for membership of this.
Most of our club members are also members of our Church, but if anyone is really interested in playing badminton, even if you are not a Church member, you are more than welcome to come along and join us.
